senior olympicsI thought I would share a little insight into what to expect at the Senior Olympics that we’ll be hosting next month.  The games will take place on Saturday, September 13 at 10:00am, here at our fitness center located at 1069 Graves Ave #104, El Cajon, CA 92021.

Come on out if you’d like to see some great athletes compete in 6 different physical fitness events that will display their athleticism and talents. The events will include:

1) Push-ups: Contestant shall perform as many push-ups as possible in one minute. 10 or better for a Bronze medal, 15 or better for Silver, and 20 or better for Gold.

2) Squats: Contestant shall perform as many squats as possible in one minute. Best 3 scores for Bronze, Silver and Gold.

3) Plank: Contestant shall hold position a minimum of 30 seconds for Bronze, 45 seconds for Silver, and one minute for Gold.

4) Jumping jacks: Contestants shall perform as many jumping jacks as possible in one minute. Best 3 scores for Bronze, Silver and Gold.

5) Jump rope: Maximum jump time allotted will be 3 minutes. Completion of 2 minutes for Bronze, 2 ½ minutes for Silver, and 3 minutes for Gold.

6) Standing Broad Jump: This event will be done outdoors in grass. Each contestant gets 2 jumps, best of two will be their score. Top 3 contestants for Bronze, Silver and Gold.
