Daniel Plan plate of foodFood After Faith

Food after faith. Food is the second pillar of the Daniel Plan, following faith. Don’t misunderstand, the Daniel Plan is not a weight-loss program, it is about creating a healthy human. You can eat anything you want, as long as it’s a real, whole food made from real ingredients, by yourself or another human.

People reportedly improved all sorts of chronic symptoms once they started putting healthy foods in their bodies. Everything from asthma, headaches, allergies, acid reflux, depression, heart disease, hypertension, acne, eczema, insomnia, and other autoimmune diseases.

Here is a simple guideline you can use for any meal:

  • 50 % non-starchy veggies
  • 25% healthy animal or vegetable proteins
  • 25% healthy starch or whole grains
  • side of low-glycemic fruit
  • Water or an herbal tea

If this sounds appealing to you and something you could follow, be sure to pick up the book, The Daniel Plan, by Rick Warren D. MIN., Daniel Amen M.D. and Mark Hyman M.D.
