Many people over eat because they eat to fast for their body to register that they are full, so by the time it does register they have already consumed more food than they should at one sitting. One way around this is to get in the habit of drinking a full glass of water prior to eating your meal. This does three things:

1) It tricks your stomach into thinking that it’s fuller than it really is

2) Balances out your food consumption since most people who are attempting to lose weight are usually in the habit of over-eating

3) Help you get your daily intake of water – You should be drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day, or approximately half your body weight in ounces. In other words, if you weight 200 lbs, you should drink approximately 100 ounces a day.
