If you have been following Jeff’s progress, you’ll know that he is attempting to lose 50 pounds by following the Medifast eating program and working out twice a week in my lunch times workouts here at the Optimum Condition Corrective Exercise & Performance Center. Jeff’s workouts are 30 minute whole body circuit-style workouts that include all kinds of exercises. We hit each major muscle group in every workout and we use calisthenics, an elliptical machine, stationary bike, dumbbells, body weight exercises, plyometrics (jumping exercises), jump ropes, and the TRX body weight training system.
We started out at 30 second intervals on each exercise, but Jeff is already up to 45 seconds on each one and always give 100% to all of his workouts. He did have a bit of a set back when he hurt his knee. Jeff wasn’t sure exactly what he did to hurt it, but it didn’t happen during his workout. To help it get better, I instructed Jeff to ice it at least three times a day, especially following physical exercise, and of course we made some adjustments to his workouts until it was better.
