Weekends can be a little tough when it comes to staying on track with your diet, and Jeff is no exception. This weekend Jeff veered off track a bit by eating pizza, which is definitely not part of the Medifast weight loss program. In addition to that, he snacked a little in between his meals on carrots and celery. And while that is way better than pizza, carrots have a high sugar content and can actually throw your body out of ketosis. Ketosis is the stage where your body burns stored body fat for fuel, and this is the key to why the Medifast weight loss program works. Even so, Jeff is still down another seven pounds this week. So far Jeff lost 10 pounds the first week, three the second, and seven pounds this week for a total of 20 pounds to date. Way to go Jeff! Jeff will be back in the studio tomorrow for his lunch time workout so be sure to tune back in later this week and see how he’s doing on his quest to lose 50 pounds.
