A great core and oblique exercise that you can do at home begins by lying on the floor on your back. Next, lift your legs off the floor and point your feet towards the ceiling. Your knees should be straight but not locked. Now spread your arms out on the floor with your palms face down and rotate the lower half of your body to the right, lowering your legs within a couple inches of the floor. Return them back to the starting position and repeat the same movement, but this time to the left. This simple exercise really works the core and specifically hits the oblique muscles!
