pumpkinHalloween Candy Crisis!

The Halloween candy crisis can spell disaster to those people trying to stay on track and eat healthy. I know I personally have a great time at Halloween, but one downside for a lot of people is the temptation to eat too much Halloween candy. So here’s a few quick ideas I threw together to help you stay on track if you struggle with the sugar cravings:

  1. Pass it all of the candy – as the trick-or-treaters start to slow down, give bigger handfuls to those kids. Believe me, they’ll appreciate it!
  2. If you didn’t time it right and have candy leftover, give it to one or two of the kids in your neighborhood. Once again, they’ll be thankful!
  3. Donate it to your local Salvation Army. There are probably a ton of poor children out there that maybe didn’t get a chance to even go trick or treating because they couldn’t afford costumes. Sad but true, and you’d be making some little kid’s day.

This was just a quick and easy light hearted post to put you in the mood for Halloween. Be safe, check the candy you get if you take your kids out as there’s weirdos out there, and have fun!
