This marks the second post of our misconception series about fitness. As far as belly fat, many people out there are under the impression that you can lose it by doing abdominal exercises. A lot of time goes into searching for the best abdominal exercise to rid your midsection of unwanted fat. There’s sit-ups, crunches, leg extended crunches, numerous types of ab machines on the market, and the list goes in. Unfortunately, doing abdominal exercise will never rid you of unwanted abdominal fat. It’s that simple. Abdominal exercise will, however, strengthen your abs and core, and by all means that area should not be neglected, but make no mistake about it you will NOT lose fat in that area even in you do a thousand a day. A good abdominal exercise should be part of an overall strength training and cardiovascular workout.
