Burpees are a great overall body strengthening exercise that incorporates push-ups as well as plyometrics. Begin from a standing position and drop down to the floor into a push-up position in one smooth movement. Perform a push-up and then jump you feet back underneath  you by bringing your legs to your chest and then right back up to your feet. Now from a standing position, raise your arms overhead and jump straight up off the ground. This sequence of exercises should be performed as one seem-less movement. You will find this builds both strength as well as power.
