This is the start of a new series about exercise misconceptions that we’ll be covering this month. The first is the fact that you can’t spot reduce fat. Many people come to me saying they want to lose fat from their abdominal area or from the back of their upper arms in the case of a lot of women I’ve spoken to. Unfortunately, the body will drop fat usually at the last place it put it on. That means that you may notice that your neck looks thinner  or possibly your body decides to let fat go from your thighs. You get the idea. So look at fat burning as something that happens over the entire body and stop hoping to focus it on one area, because it just doesn’t work that way.
