4 Components of Good Health
I’m a huge advocate when it comes to mental and emotional health being equally as important as physical health. To be truly healthy, I believe physical, mental, emotional, AND spiritual health must all be in alignment. And that brings me to the point of this article. We are holding a mindfulness meditation class with Helena Bergamin, M.A., this Saturday, January 28th at 10:00am.
The free class will introduce you to meditation and what you can expect from it. Titled Mindfulness through Contemplative Meditation, Helena will explain the class format of the class and the benefits. An open discussion will follow, with the purpose of helping you understand how to apply it to your own life.
Benefits of meditation include:
- Inner peace
- Anxiety and depression relief
- Self-healing
- Stress reduction
- Self-control
- Improved attention and concentration
- Overall well-being
Helena comes to us with over 29 years of experience in the practice of meditation. A keynote speaker at the San Diego Council on Aging, she also taught Business Communication seminars at San Diego State University. In addition, she teaches Psychology, Sociology, Critical Thinking and Business courses at various vocational colleges. She is a certified yoga instructor in Hatha Yoga, both in the U.S. and abroad. Her specialties include the Eight Fold Path of Yoga.
