Dividing your meal in half when it first arrives to your table is a great way to control your portion size when eating out. Since the average restaurant serves a much larger than recommended serving, most times if you consume it all at one sitting you are by far surpassing your recommended intake. Doing so also allows you to enjoy leftovers and really get your bang for your buck so to speak. It’s not uncommon for some restaurants to even serve 3-4 times the recommended serving size. So keep this in mind the next time you are eating out, especially if you are trying to lose weight.
