Many people feel that they need a lot of equipment in order to get a good workout, but you will be surprised at what you can do with just a stability ball. You can pick up a good ball, also called a therapy or exercise ball, for under $40 at most stores. They vary in size and you should buy one appropriate for your height. I always recommend these because they are so versatile and allow a person to perform a variety of exercise in a small space. With a ball, a person can perform wall squats, modified push-ups, reverse hamstring curls, a load of different core exercises, just to name a few. The ball can even take the place of an exercise bench for various dumbbell exercises. It’s a great piece of equipment even for advanced workouts for athletes to incorporate balance/ core work by turning a simple bicep curl for example, into a curl performed while kneeling on the ball. The sky is the limit with this piece of equipment!
