For those of you just tuning in, we’ve just started our at-home exercise series and today’s post will explain how to exercise your triceps using nothing more than a chair. In you don’t know where your triceps are located, it’s the back of your upper arm. Whether you’re a man or a woman, a nice defined tricep looks good on everyone. To begin, you will need a dining room or kitchen chair. Sit on the chair as you normally would and place your hands on either side of the corners that are not attached to the back of the chair. With your palms cradling the corners and your arms straight, scoot your rear off the chair so that your tail bone hovers just an inch or so in front of the chair. With both your knees and your hips at 90 degree angles, bend your elbows lowering your body towards the floor until your elbows reach 90 degree angles. Then push yourself back up to the starting position. That’s one rep. The exercise can be intensified by straightening out your knees rather than keeping them bent. Not only will this help you tighten up those troublesome loose areas on the back of the upper arms on a lot of women, but it’s also a great chest and frontal shoulder exercise. Give it a shot!
